Launching a dodgeball team to victory
Challenge: Reinvigorate a squad of players via new team apparel.
Strategy: Step 1 - create a custom team emblem inspired by determination, grit, and fun.
Step 2 - go to battle and form unbreakable bonds. Step 3 - embrace victory.
Result: A new team name - combined with a bespoke illustration - conveyed unity and ferocity, striking fear into the heart of the enemy all season long and leading us to eternal glory.

The spark that fueled
a blaze of glory.
The instant my buddy shared his sketch for a new team emblem and accompanying name, I was salivating. It was brilliant: "Let's combine Mad Max: Fury Road with N64 Mario Kart's Rainbow Road." The result? A new chapter thus began: the Rainbow Road Warriors were here.
When worlds collide.
As a long-time fan of both the movie and game, I couldn't have
been more excited. The final composition practically illustrated itself: Joe became Bowser, Furiosa became Princess Peach, and
Max became Mario. It was fierce and weird and it was beautiful.
Final touches on our
way to Valhalla.
I then designed our team name using the mega strategic typeface, Super Mario 256. And, in honor of Furiosa/Peach, pastel pink was selected for our tank color. What better way to disarm opponents all season long while channelling that inner road warrior? Exactly.
Teamwork made the dream work.
I wasn't MVP material, so contributing our
team's winning fits made me feel better.
